Melissa Norton Vincent is an Island native and comes from a rich heritage of Islanders.

A Member and Deacon at Beacon of Hope, Melissa was born in to a family of believers and raised in a home that valued relationship with Jesus, starting her on an  early path to  discovery of relational truths that continue to guide her today as a wife and mother of a blended family of seven, as well as a Gigi to thirteen grandchildren spread from Martha’s Vineyard to Las Vegas, Nevada, that bring smiles and challenges to Melissa and her husband Peter.

Melissa is Executive Director of TRI - The Resource Inc. - a non-profit corporation that specializes in Program Management of Housing Rehabilitation grant programs for municipalities, using Federal and State funds to benefit local homeowners. She oversees a staff of seven in three offices across the State of Massachusetts, and over 100 construction projects a year.

Melissa is also a Certified Prophetic Heart Healing Prayer Minister and has the honor of watching the Lord renovate people’s inner hearts, while she works on their physical homes.

“I have opportunities to be a bridge to the people I meet, bringing a new way of thinking by providing insight and clarity into the way in which God sees them and the identity that they carry through Him. I am Gods identity renovator and a catalyst for change”.

Melissa loves to study and speak Gods word to strengthen, encourage and comfort all whenever the opportunity arises.

On Fridays, November 21, December 5, and December 19

we will gather to eat (Potluck, so please bring something to share), watch a 30-minute film about the New Testament, and then talk about it.

These recordings are an excellent and relevant way to learn more about the Bible, and the discussion is real, honest, and helpful.

At our Sunday Morning Service June 8 at 10 AM, the distinguished Rev. Dr. Robert Tankard will preach from Psalm 119:33-40. A native Islander, Dr. Tankard has spent the past fifty plus
years of his life as a strong advocate for people, improving the quality of life especially for the underprivileged, the disadvantaged, and Veterans. As an educator and administrator, Dr. Tankard has developed many programs that have improved the quality of education for both students and educators working
under his guidance. He has directed several television programs pertaining to community issues as well as programs designed to give high school and college students a voice and forum to discuss issues that affect them. Receiving many distinguished awards over the years, Bob is a long-time, committed Christian. Skilled in speaking, God uses him to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, and we are thrilled to have him with us!
